The Norwegian Epic cruise ship by NCL is a unique vessel known for being one of a kind. It was built in 2009 and set sail in 2010, offering a mix of positive and negative experiences for passengers. Despite being the least favorite for some, it is frequently chosen due to its availability and affordability for last-minute vacations. It’s stated that the pass is only sold to a limited number of passengers, but I’ve experienced otherwise, unfortunately. My only complaint with Bliss on the Epic is that the age restriction hasn’t been enforced in the past 2 voyages I’ve had. While other ships seem to do a better job at keeping the 18+ rule, staff on the Epic didn’t. Casual pub-style restaurant/bar open late serving everything from fish and chips, burgers, and chicken wings to healthier options like salads and soups. For anyone who’s cruised in the past, the vast amount of storage in the cabins on the Epic will be a welcomed surprise.
WHAT’S ON BOARD
If you were cruising with a friend it would be a little strange to step out into the cabin after a shower with only a curtain between you and your friend. If you are considering a cruise on the Norwegian Epic it’s important that you are happy with the bathroom situation. Norwegian have created a unique bathroom that isn’t replicated on any of their other ships.

Heat up your day or night at Spice H20, our adults-only beach club at the back of the ship. And when all is said and done, enjoy a pamper session at Mandara Spa. With so much to do, we’ll always have you coming back for more. Our room, a balcony room, was neat and clean upon arrival. The bathroom design is strangely different, but it worked out well.

Most passengers I’ve met who have upgraded to a Club Balcony don’t really see the value, especially if booked at the full rate. The Norwegian Epic has 128 solo cabins and the solo cabins also have access to a solo lounge.
Dining venues enhancements include new carpeting and decors, and their furniture was reupholstered. A new club lounge was opened under the name “The Cavern Club”. The inside cabins on decks 8,9,10,11 and 12 only sleep 2 people but the inside cabins on 13,14 can sleep up to 4 people. If the cabin sleeps 4 these will be pull-down beds from the ceiling. In a usual cruise ship cabin, you’ll find the bathroom in the corner of the room. In the bathroom, you’ll usually find the toilet, sink, and shower.
